Raw Edge Applique / Freehand Machine Embroidery

Salam all...

This is what ive been up to this past few weeks. Practicing & perfecting this particular skill. I dont know why i love it so much. Perhaps coz of the quirkiness & imperfections that come with it..

I dont like to be too neat&tidy when it comes to my crafts sewing. Just like colouring or painting. Sometimes colouring outside the lines can be just as pretty. I think. Hehe

Anyhow..just to share the outcome of my 'hardwork' here. These were my experiments.. my trial&error... huhuhu..long way to go!

Slowwwly. But surely.. :)

Pesto Sauce with My Organic Basil

Salam all....Halu! Halu!
So, its harvesting season. Just look at my kangkung & basil :) It was just too much for a household's  consumption. I had to give away some to both mothers (brownie points!)
The solution to the kangkung was easy - kangkung goreng belacan. But what about the basil? I sometimes chucked some in my gulai asam pedas. But there were still a lot of them.
Finally after googling "recipes using basil"... the brilliant solution was a yummilicious
Pesto Sauce!

Tada..!! Just blend the basil with a handful of pine nuts / walnuts (hubby prefers pine nuts though) with olive oil, season with salt&pepper,  aaandd voila! Ready to be eaten with your choice of pasta. Don't forget to sprinkle some cheese on top!
